Carrie Ruth Monroe, 58, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 28, 2014. She is survived by her father: William GeorgeMonroe of Tar Heel, two sisters: Barbra Wilkins of Tar Heel and Janet Burrington and husband Lyle of Wisconsin, a special friend: Johnny Fields, two nephews: Nicholas Wilkins and Bill Burrington, three nieces: Melanie Voges, Adrienne Hendren and Tabitha Dew, five great nephews: Garrett, Christopher, Nolan, Jayden and Corey and one great niece: Abigail. She is preceded in death by her mother: Lucy Monroe and brother-n-law: Henry Joseph Wilkins. A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2014at the Love Grove Baptist church in Tar Heel from 6:00-8:00. The funeral will be held on Friday, May 30, 2014 at the Love Grove Baptist church at 3:00 p.m. Burial will conclude at the Monroe Family cemetery.
