Obituary for James Dewey Thompson
James Dewey Thompson, 78, of Bladenboro, went home to be with his heavenly father on Thursday, December 18, 2014. He is survived by his wife: Mary Kate Thompson, a son: Marcus and wife Jane, a daughter: Lynne and husband Terry, four grandsons: Daniel, Chandler, Grayson and Ethan, brother-in-law: Bill Sessoms and wife Joan, sister-in-law: Harriet Davis and special nephews and a niece. He is preceded in death by his parents: Leslie Evans and Mary Eliza Thompson and a sister: Flora Barfield. Dewey was a dedicated front row member of New Light Church in Bladenboro, NC. He was the co-founder of Liberty Lincoln Mercury in Winston Salem, NC. A visitation will be held on Monday, December 22, 2014 at New Light Church from 7:00-9:00 p.m. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at New Light Church at 2:00 p.m. followed by a private burial.
