Obituary for John "Johnny" Lee Gainey
John "Johnny" Lee Gainey, 57, of Bladenboro passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, August 1, 2012. He is the son of the late Raymond and Mary Gainey. He is survived by two children: Timothy Gainey and wife Tracy of Yelm, Washington and Kenda George of Trinity, North Carolina, three grandchildren: Keith, Chance, and Kaylee and a sister: Matilda "Tilly" Gurley of Wilmington, North Carolina. He also leave behinda a beloved cat and best friend Trixie. Johnny was a compassionate, kindhearted, and generous man who helped anyone in need. He loved his family and wanted nothing more than help and support them. Having lived most of his life with a disability he was still able to "hear" in h is heart the true meaning of life "helping others". He will be missed terribly by everyone who knew him. May he now be at peace and hear the beautiful sounds of contentment and the voices of his family saying "we love you". A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 5, 2012 at the First Baptist Church fellowship hall from 2:00-4:00 p.m.
